To write a well written paper, lots of time is needed in the preparation phase.  When starting a paper it is best to take a log of the all things used in research called a Research Log. The log is a way to keep yourself organized and it will help with the Works Cited Part of a paper. When developing a paper one must decide their position on the issue they have decided.  The process of writing a paper in 10 easy steps are 1  choose and refine a topic 2 Refine the research question that your essay is about 3 Use good sources to learn about and be able to answer the questions that the essays 4 Gather the information about your topic into one place 5 Organize your ideas into arguments for the paper 6 write a rough draft 7 revise and edit to make it better 8 Have someone else read it and edit it. 9 Use your research log to make a works cited page 10 Read over it one more time and submit it.
